Hi, I’m Denver! John Denver sang about country roads taking him home. I’m hoping my road leads to you…with a few potty stops along the way. I’m an 11-week-old boy looking for my forever family. My foster mom says I’m sweet, gentle, funny, and incredibly smart. I’d blush; however, I’m busy trying to figure out what this leaf does. Everything is new and fascinating. I love stuffies, chew toys, backyard adventures, and playing with my foster’s Golden. Once my puppy batteries run down, I’m very happy to recharge with naps and cuddles. I’m quite calm for a puppy, although occasional bursts of complete silliness are common. Now, before my face convinces you to abandon all rational thought, let’s talk puppy business. I’m learning to sit and making progress with house training and leash walking. I need frequent trips outside (about every hour during the day and roughly every four hours overnight). If you work from home, that would be a lovely arrangement, provided your schedule allows for puppy breaks. I also have opinions about dinner service and being left alone and I sometimes announce those opinions. I’ll need patient, positive guidance to learn that meals arrive without a soundtrack and that being on my own is okay. New situations can make me cautious, so gentle encouragement will help my confidence grow. A friendly, energetic canine brother or sister would be a wonderful playmate and mentor. My foster family strongly recommends one as I’m having such fun learning from theirs. An experienced family, a secure yard, and a home without young children would suit me best as I’m teething and my tiny shark teeth haven’t learned their manners yet. Condo living wouldn’t be ideal as I’m pretty vocal and I haven’t met any cats. If you have the time, patience, and sense of humour to help a little fellow grow up, I have a lifetime of love to grow into. “Take me home country road…”
