Hello! We’re Sorin and Dodie and we’d like to apply for the position of your new best friends. Yes, both of us. We’re a bonded pair, so this application comes with two signatures…or eight pawprints. I’m Sorin, an 11-year-old gentleman with a fairly straightforward approach to life: eat something delicious, enjoy a little backyard sniffari, accept belly rubs, and find a lovely spot for a snooze. Repeat as necessary. My foster family describes me as very loving, lovable, and laid-back. I see no reason to argue with such excellent references. And I’m Dodie, an 8-year-old lady who shares Sorin’s enthusiasm for the simple things. However, I also have an important job ~ welcoming visitors with my stuffed monkey. Sorin leaves the hospitality to me. Apparently, getting up is a management decision. We’re both friendly, affectionate Goldens who love being petted and spending easygoing time with our people. We enjoy a little play in the yard, although neither of us is looking for a marathon training partner. A backyard to putter around in, gentle outings, and a comfortable place to rest would suit us beautifully. Sorin walks nicely beside you. I sometimes pull a little, although I respond well to guidance. I also occasionally announce passing canines or backyard critters. Someone has to keep the neighbourhood informed and Sorin rarely feels the need to contribute. We take treats gently with a little reminder and we’ve been comfortable staying home on our own. Our foster family hasn’t observed any issues with other canines; however, we haven’t met any cats, so our opinion of feline roommates remains unknown. One practical detail: neither of us can currently jump into the car, so we need help getting aboard, so that’s something our new family will need to plan for. Chauffeur service, please with assistance at the door. Our foster family says we’ve been a pleasure to have around. We’re hoping for a family who appreciates a gentler pace, has time for affection, and understands that staying together is part of what makes home feel safe and familiar. Yes, welcoming two Goldens means two bowls, two beds, and a generous supply of Golden glitter. It also means two dear companions are ready to share your ordinary days and make them a little sweeter. We don’t need you to give us the world…just a place in yours…together.
