Hello, adoring public! I’m Freddy, a 10-month-old boy with movie-star good looks, leading-man charm, and absolutely no intention of using a stunt double. I’m a happy, sweet, and extremely enthusiastic youngster who loves people, canine friends, and life in general. When I first arrived, I was rather…unpolished. Walking me was an adventure, jumping was my preferred form of greeting, and if something fit in my mouth, I assumed it belonged there. Since then, I’ve been working hard on my manners. I can now walk nicely beside you (most of the time), drop things when asked, and keep all four paws on the floor…unless someone exciting appears and my springs accidentally activate. I love running, playing fetch, car rides, and investigating absolutely everything. I need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and continued training to help all this puppy enthusiasm grow into proper gentlemanly behaviour. I can still be grabby with toys and treats, chew things that weren’t intended as toys, and make a speedy exit if given the opportunity, so supervision and a large, securely fenced yard are musts. I’d be happiest with an active family where someone is home quite a bit to keep me in check and out of trouble. Older children are welcome, provided they’re comfortable with my exuberance and I would enjoy a playful canine companion who can match my energy. Cats, however, should probably admire me safely from afar. After the running, jumping, and general Freddy-ing is done, I transform into the most affectionate boy imaginable. I’ll roll at your feet for belly rubs, curl right into you for hugs, and even attempt to fit all 53 pounds of myself onto your lap. Personal space? Never heard of it. I’m appearing on CP24’s Take Me Home Tuesdays on September 15th , so you may want to get my autograph now. Fame will be lovely; however, what I really want is a family who will take me home every day!
