Hello, I’m 4-year-old Bella…and once I feel safe with you, I will love you with my whole heart and follow you with my whole body. I’m a clever, affectionate girl with lovely house manners. I’m not destructive, I don’t counter surf, and I sleep peacefully through the night. I adore long sniffy walks (I call them sniffaris), car rides, belly rubs and a good nap afterward. I’m still figuring out toys, although I’m remarkably talented at tossing little rocks into the air. Apparently, my foster family would prefer I find a new hobby. When I’m excited, I may stand on my hind legs and wave my paws dramatically or speak fluent Chewbacca. I’m treat-motivated, eager to please, and learning that greetings do not require a full-body embrace. I walk nicely with my halti, although I can bark at dogs or people when something makes me unsure. Continued training and socialization will help me feel more confident and remember my manners, even when the world is terribly interesting. I’m looking for an experienced, active adult home with strong leaders and a securely fenced yard (no cats and no young children…older teens would be fine). I’d also prefer not to be left alone for long stretches. Grooming and vet visits are not currently on my list of favourite things, so I need patient humans who will respect my boundaries and help me become more comfortable. Give me time to trust you and I promise you’ll see the real Bella ~ sweet, silly, loyal, and completely devoted. I’ll bring the cuddles and the comedy. You just bring the love.
