Hello, I’m Meadow and I’m what my foster family affectionately calls a decorative pillow. I’m happiest curled up beside my people, preferably on the couch, where I can supervise absolutely everything while doing as little as possible. I’m around four years old and I love attention, cuddles, leisurely walks, and car rides. I also walk beautifully on leash…unless a squirrel appears or a cricket starts bouncing through the grass. Apparently, my hunting instincts do not discriminate by size. I’m generally a calm girl who is quite content with a daily walk, some backyard time and plenty of togetherness. If you enjoy gardening, I would be delighted to help. I specialize in harvesting green beans, zucchinis, and cucumbers, whether they are ready or not. Nothing will ever go bad in your garden because I will eat it first. I’m looking for an experienced, calm, and confident family who understands that trust takes time. I’m a slow-burn kind of girl ~ give me patience, consistency, and clear boundaries, and I will gradually show you just how loving I can be. I do guard things I consider valuable, so my family will need to understand resource guarding and be comfortable continuing my training. High-value chews should wait until we know and trust one another. I can also become grabby or overly excited when the energy around me gets too high; however, I respond very well to calm, firm redirection. A quiet adult home would suit me beautifully. I would prefer to be your one and only canine companion so I can receive all the attention I clearly deserve, although I may be able to live with a calm, mature cat after a careful introduction. A securely fenced yard is important because my prey drive is impressive ~ and squirrels rarely respect property lines. I can be left alone for part of the workday once I have a safe setup and established routine. I’ll also need continued guidance about which household items are mine to chew and why the kitchen counters are apparently not an all-you-can-eat buffet. I’m not looking for a busy home or a packed social calendar. I’m looking for someone patient enough to earn my trust, confident enough to guide me, and kind enough to understand that some hearts need a little longer to feel safe. Give me that time and I’ll give you the very best part of me.
