Hi everyone, my name is Cooper and I’m an 11-year-old senior statesman with a whole lot of love (and a little extra fluff) to give. My foster mom says I should lose a few pounds, but personally I think I’m just extra huggable. I may be a senior, but don’t let that fool you ~ I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step and lots of miles left to share with my forever family. I’m affectionate, playful, easygoing, and always happy to hang out with my people. One of my favourite places? The couch. In fact, by day two in my foster home, I had already decided the couch was much better than the floor. Smart boy, right? I love all people and all dogs and GR thinks I’d be happiest with a bigger dog buddy to play with because I’m a strong fellow who still enjoys a good romp. I’m pretty chill overall…not much of a barker, loud noises don’t bother me, and I can stay home alone without causing any fuss.
Now…I should probably mention my walking style. Some dogs walk in a straight line. I prefer to express myself artistically through zig-zags. And if I decide I don’t want to go a certain direction? Well…I may gently plant myself like a furry little tree and refuse to budge. My stubbornness and leash manners could use a bit of polishing, but treats go a long way (he-he). I don’t love car rides and may pant a bit, but wave a treat near the car and suddenly I’m much more cooperative. Basically, I’m a ‘love me, feed me, cuddle me’ kind of boy who adjusts quickly, adores affection, and is ready to make someone very happy. If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, lovable Golden gentleman with a playful spirit and a heart of gold, I just might be your boy!
