Hi, I’m Strummer and I’m nearly two years old with a smile that rarely leaves my face. I’m soft, fluffy, ridiculously handsome and always ready to be admired. Modesty is important you know; however, so is honesty (LOL), With people, I’m pure love. I adore attention, belly rubs, brushing and being made a fuss over, which is fortunate because I plan to be made a fuss over quite often. I’m friendly with everyone, gentle with food and toys, comfortable in new situations, and happy to accompany you in the car. I can also spend about four hours alone without causing a scandal. Now for the off-key notes. I have a high prey drive. Squirrels, bunnies, and other small creatures bring out my inner rock star and not the quiet acoustic kind. Other dogs can also make me bark, lunge, and pull so I need to be the only four-legged member of the family. No cats, no small animals and definitely no backyard bunnies taking their chances. I’ve already come a long way with training and I respond well when my person catches my cues and keeps my attention. Most of the time, I’m a good walking companion who enjoys investigating every interesting smell. If you miss the moment when I spot a squirrel, however, your arm may briefly reconsider its relationship with your shoulder. I’ll need someone committed to continuing my obedience, leash, and focus training with patience and consistency. A securely fenced yard is a must because I’ve been known to make a dash for it when inspiration strikes. I’d be happy with a family, with or without children, who will give me regular exercise, playtime, clear guidance, and all the affection I’ve been waiting to soak up. I may need to be your solo act; however, give me the right stage and I promise to fill your whole home with music.
