Happy spring everyone. My name is Aston and I’m a 1-year-old boy and I am mostly Golden but I do have a little something-else in me…pretty cute though, eh? Yes, I am still very much a puppy with all my enthusiasm and energy. I truly am the epitome of the joys of spring (are you impressed that I used the word ‘epitome’?). My amazing foster family are showing me the ropes and I’m starting to understand and learn all kinds of stuff. I could be described as a big, lovable, sweet, cuddly work-in-progress. In fact, my fosters say I’m the sweetest boy they’ve ever met…aw shucks! I have learned to sit and I’m starting to understand that if I am patient and stop some of my puppy antics, I’ll get a treat. GR says it would be best if I go to a home where they are patient and understand training needs and frustrations. They have no doubt I will learn everything, but you will need understanding and love and all will be well. I do still have some puppy guarding issues but if I have a prized possession and you want it, I can be convinced to give it to you if you have a treat. If you work on a thing called ‘leave it’ with me I’m sure I’ll figure it out. I’m also still doing the puppy nipping and that’s why we don’t want any young children in the family for now. I do love all people and all dogs. Loud noises don’t bother me, you can touch me anywhere, and I’m not a big barker. I am one big cuddly love-bug who just needs training. I am definitely up for the challenge if you are. I can’t wait to meet you.
