Happy long weekend…my name is Mya and I’m a one-year-old bundle of fluff, fun, and enthusiasm. When I first arrived at Golden Rescue, let’s just say I was in a bit of a ‘wild child’ phase. I was scruffy, badly in need of a spa day, and I had some ‘this-is-MY-stuff’ guarding habits. But thanks to my amazing foster, I’ve been learning all about the wonderful world of humans (and wow, you people really love brushing us, eh?). These days I’m soft, shiny, and much better at sharing. I’m super-eager-to-please, which means I learn quickly. I’m still a puppy though, so sometimes my brain moves a little faster than my manners. But hey, I’m working on it. I am getting the hang of leash walks, am completely house trained, and already know some commands. Pretty impressive, right? I actually love structure and training because it helps me feel safe and confident. Plus…treats magically appear during training, so I fully support this activity. I LOVE toys. I LOVE people. I LOVE other dogs. And cuddling? Oh…I take cuddling very seriously. My foster dad says I’m an Olympic-level couch snuggler, and honestly, I think I deserve a gold medal. Here’s what my foster dad says about me: “Mya has a big personality and is a smart, loving girl. She just wants to be someone’s best friend and go-everywhere companion.” Now, all I need is a forever family to laugh with me, cuddle with me, and love me forever. Could that be you?
