Happy spring everyone! This is sweet-natured 6-year-old Luna here. When I first met the wonderful caring people at GR, I was really nervous and fearful. I didn’t know what was going on until my amazing foster mom made me realize I was safe and loved. Today, I am so much better. In fact, I have now been described as a sweet, super-cuddly girl who loves her people. Also, I’m told I’m whip-smart and athletic…which I happen to believe is true. I love to play with my favourite humans. Since coming into GR, I’ve come a long way in learning to be calm around other dogs. If they give me space, I can ignore them. I have learned many new skills, like heel and leash walking. I can find things using my nose. For example, I can find the catnip-scented toy amidst a room full of boxes ~ I’m a true example of the ‘nose knows’ (tee-hee). And if you call out ‘touch’ and hold out your hand, I’ll come running and boop it…only costs you one kibble. Did I mention I will work for food? Here’s what my foster mom says about me: “Luna has blossomed into a calmer and more confident girl who has improved a lot around other dogs. With ongoing love and training, she’ll continue to improve and gain confidence. Her happy places are playing fetch in her yard or going on a sniffari on her nature walks.” Thank you for all your love and patience. I have a new ‘leash’ on life because of you!
