Hi everyone, I’m a 7-year-old boy and my name is Bailey. Just like George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life. Yes, it certainly is a ‘wonderful life’ since I met the good folks at GR. When I first entered the program, I was anxious and a little unkempt. With the help of my amazing foster family, I felt safe very quickly and I got brushed and coiffed so I could look my best for all you wonderful humans. I’m pretty familiar with your human world and I know my commands. I only have two issues. One is the leash thingy, but I have actually come a long way with that and pull a lot less these days. The other issue is ‘stairs’. I never knew stairs in my previous life so they are a bit of a challenge, but I’ve already figured out the five wooden stairs in the back yard so I’m getting there. I love people and I’m okay with other dogs but most of the time I just ignore them (I might be okay with cats but we don’t know for sure). There is a Lab I play with who comes to visit occasionally, but overall, I think humans are more fun than dogs. I love car rides and playing tug-of-war. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere and I’m not a big barker. Loud noises don’t bother me and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. Here’s what my foster mom says about me: “Bailey is a wonderful boy and whoever adopts him will be very lucky”. By the way, I know this has nothing to do with anything, but did you know that every time a bell rings an angel gets their wings? An angel named Clarence told me that for some reason…probably because my name is Bailey.
