Hello, GoldenRescueLand! My name is Midas and I’m a 15-month-old boy. Now, if you know the story of King Midas, everything he touched turned to gold. Well, GR tells me that’s not exactly how my superpower works. Everything I touch turns into an opportunity for more training (tee-hee). When I first arrived at Golden Rescue, I was a whirlwind of puppy enthusiasm. I had energy to spare, very little training, and enough excitement for three dogs. Since then, I’ve been working hard and making great progress. My leash manners are improving with a gentle leader, I’ve learned the “drop it” command, and I’m much better socialized with other dogs. In fact, I like other dogs, I love people, and I especially love being the centre of attention. If there is attention available, I’d like to place my order for all of it, please. Because I’m still young, GR is looking for a family that understands puppies and will continue helping me become the amazing boy I’m meant to be. I need structure, consistency, and clear expectations. A family that’s firm but fair will bring out the very best in me. The good news? I’m smart, eager to please, and I learn quickly. A busy household probably isn’t my best match. With lots of commotion, visitors, and activity, I can get overstimulated and forget my manners. A calmer home with a predictable routine will help me shine. The rest of my résumé is pretty impressive if I do say so myself. Loud noises don’t bother me. I’m house-trained. I can be left alone when needed. You can handle me all over without issue. And I don’t have an aggressive bone in my body. Oh, and I have a special talent. Sometimes I chase my tail, catch it, grab my back leg, keep spinning, and eventually topple over. It’s a highly sophisticated performance piece that I call The Midas Tornado. Audiences seem to love it. The truth is, I’m not quite ‘as good as gold’…YET! But with the right family, a little patience, and continued training, I think I could become pure gold. This is Midas, your future golden treasure, signing off. I hope to meet you very soon.
