Hi everyone…my name is Bodhi and this is my sister Nicky. As you can see, Nicky is a Golden through and through but I’m a mix of Golden and Shepherd. Nicky is my little sister as she’s only 6 and I’m much older…I’m 7. Now, the Shepherd in me might be the reason you humans think I’m so smart. My amazing foster mom says I’m exceptionally intelligent. Not that Nicky isn’t. Now, Harry Belafonte sang: “That’s right…the woman is smarter.” But in our case, looks like he’s not right…sorry Nicky! We both adore people and we both have a strong desire to please. We are calm and don’t fuss much about anything. Loud noises don’t bother us. You can touch us anywhere and you can leave us alone if you have to go out without us; however, we would both prefer if someone was around more often than not because of our not-so-great past. We are both good with other dogs except I have a thing called ‘leash reactivity’ and I can be a bit grumpy with other dogs and some people. Other than that, we’re pretty good on the leash. Both of us could lose a pound or two but worry not, we are already on a diet and it’s going well. Nicky might be a bit gentler than me but I’m smarter (ha-ha). If we’re keeping score, I’d say we’re even. Here’s what our foster mom says about us: “Bodhi and Nicky are two of the most special furkids I have ever met. Bodhi is a serious, sweet over-achiever and Nicky is the happy-go-lucky goofball”. We hope you will agree that good things come in pairs!
