Hi everybody…my name is Harper and I’m a one-year-old girl. When I first came into the GR program, I have to admit I was quite a mess. You see, I hadn’t had any training in your human ways and everything was a mystery to me. I was hyperactive, uncontrollable, and disliked other dogs. Thanks to my amazing foster guru dad, I have learned a whole lot already. I am an active girl ~ after all, I am still a puppy; however, I can be pretty calm too. I have learned some commands and I’m no longer Ms. CrazyPants. I still don’t like other dogs but at least I can pass them on the street without making a fuss. So, I need to be the only pet in the family (no cats either) and I’d be perfectly fine being a backyard girl. I am learning the leash thing and a gentle leader helps a lot. It’s true that I don’t like other dogs, but I do love people and have been described as loving, affectionate, and smart. Those are all good human words, right? I love to play fetch in the backyard and to swim. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. Loud noises don’t bother me. I am not a big barker and the doc says I’m a healthy girl. My dad describes me as a happy, energetic young girl. I must admit that I am happy, because of all the love and care I have received from the network of GR folks. Thank you all… you’re the best!
