Hi everyone, I ‘herb’ you might be looking for a girl like me. Get it? My name is Sage so that wasn’t a typo! I’m a one-year-old girl. I have to admit, when I first met the good people at GR, I was quite a handful. I was pretty unruly, had no manners, and had a thing you call ‘food and toy aggression’. My amazing guru foster dad took me under his wing and started to show me what’s what. He said my behaviour was not my fault. No one taught me how to behave and I was making things up as I went along. I had no idea there was so much to learn about your human world. Today, I no longer have food and toy aggression. I have learned the words ‘drop it’ and I have calmed down a lot. I now listen to commands. Look, I won’t fib…I still have a lot to learn like that leash thingy, but I have come a long way. For example, I am not a big barker. Loud noises don’t bother me and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. The doc says I’m a healthy girl. I do love people and some other dogs. My socialization with my canine cousins is a work-in-progress so my new family needs to be patient and continue my training and socialization so I can be the best Golden ever. For now, it would be best if I was in a home with no children and no other pets. A big secure backyard would be essential. I am exceptionally loving and I’ve been told that it’s hard to resist my big beautiful eyes. Hopefully you won’t be able to resist me! All I want for Christmas is my forever family!
