Wally #4964

Gender: male

Status: Adopted

After finishing the build of our dream home, we were overjoyed to move in with our two senior girls imagining many more happy years together. A few months later, we began the search for a third furry family member, with our hearts set on a Golden Retriever. Then life shifted in a way we never expected and within just 10 days, we lost both of our girls suddenly. The silence that followed was deafening and our hearts ached. Even in our grief, we knew love had more room to grow, so we decided to continue our search. But this time we were now open to welcoming a younger pup. Enter Wally, our goofy, affectionate, and oh-so-lovable boy. From the moment he arrived, he began to fill our home with joy and laughter once again. Though he is still settling into ‘country life’, Wally has taken beautifully to simple routines, quiet mornings on the deck, watching birds fly by, and spending time gazing out the front window, and keeping a watchful eye on his new world. His playful spirit combined with his gentle nature reminds us daily of how lucky we are. There is something truly special about watching a rescue dog discover that they are loved and home at last. Wally has brought back life, love, and laughter into our days and we can honestly say he is the perfect addition to our family.
