Ripley is two and has grown into a beautiful, delightful, mischievous, and emotive young lady. My nickname for her is ‘Monkey’. Ripley is a very sweet pup who likes to be around people, dogs, and cats. She is happy to watch squirrels on the front lawn all day. One came right up to the window and they touched noses with glass in between…so cute to see. Not a growl or bark…just curiosity. It’s different in the back yard. If there’s a squirrel in the yard, she turns on her running blasters and starts the chase. She is almost well mannered but I’m giving her some slack seeing as she’s still a teenager. Walking her is a pleasure as she heels well. About eight months before adopting Ripley, my husband passed away. Ripley has played a significant role working through my grief. When I cry, she is right beside me offering comfort. She makes me laugh and helps give structure to this new life. I love having her in my life, even if sometimes she can be a mischievous teenage monkey!
