Rory has settled so well into life with us and Zola, our Bernadoodle, and life in Canada. We were a little nervous as first time ‘rescue pawrents’; however, we have had such an amazing experience with him. He really just wanted to be loved and to have a family to call his own. The changes we have seen in him since we adopted him in September 2022 are remarkable and we are very proud of how far he has come both physically and personality wise. Rory is a homebody. He loves his home and his backyard. He has a standing monthly spaw date with Zola ~ he loves his grooming appointments with people fussing over him. He has achieved a healthy weight and maintains it. He gets lots of exercise on walks and tearing around the backyard with Zola. He is a very typical retriever ~ loves his food, steals gloves, hats, and socks, and has vain attempts to catch squirrels and chipmunks. He is such a handsome heartbreaker, we get many compliments about him. We are pleased to report he’s also recently added handsome male model and local celebrity to his resume. A photo of him was featured on the cover of the local brewery dog calendar with all proceeds going to their chosen charity. Rory was happy to help pay it forward.
