About Calvin…has very furry paws and a goofy, playful heart. Calvin shares his life with us and his Golden siblings ~ 7-year-old Deacon and 4-year-old Clementine who is also a rescue. Calvin has food guarding issues with other dogs but never with humans. We mitigate this by keeping them separated for food and treats. We believe that love and understanding can overcome anything. Calvin is a highly energetic, playful 3-year-old boy who came to us at the age of 10 months. He was eager to learn and trained easily. He’s willing to do anything especially if treats are involved. He loves to run in the snow in winter and play in his puppy pool in summer, snapping and leaping at water from the garden hose. Calvin is loyal. He chose me (Kia) as his person from day one and follows me around everywhere. He is protective, putting himself solidly between me and any people he doesn’t know and watches them intently. But he’s friendly and can be bribed with treats. Calvin is truly my heart-dog, my little man, my puppy love.
