Sol #4078

Gender: female

Status: Adopted

Sol has become a bona fide member of our family and while stray hair and dirt in every crevice of the house can drive one insane, we wouldn’t change a thing. She is our first family dog and we always hoped to be able to have her off leash though until very recently we didn’t think this would be possible. We found a group of lovely dogs who gather nightly in the green space in our neighborhood and with practice, we were able to let her run off leash. Sol has kept us on our toes and demonstrated the tenacity she no doubt learned in her first 9 months on the streets of Cairo climbing under and over various fence iterations in our backyard (#mustgetthatbunnynextdoor). One of her nicknames is Houdini. We’ve installed a newer and taller fence, preventing any further attempts to use her old skills. When we got Sol, we already had two cats, Rex and Merlin. They weren’t too impressed, despite Sol’s enthusiastic efforts to befriend them; however, Merlin has finally come around.
