There are so many amazing things we can say about Thunder. He has become an incredibly handsome, healthy gentleman. Raising him has been such a rewarding experience for us and he has taught us the value of time and patience. We were worried about Thunder getting along with our other dog as Thunder is a spirited pupper. With a proper introduction, the boys sniffed each other and were soon thick as thieves. Our cat took a little longer to come around and we worked diligently with Thunder’s prey drive and within a couple of weeks, everyone was co-existing nicely. Our second hurdle was that Thunder was malnourished and we worked alongside our vet to get him to a good weight and healthy. Over the next couple of years, we continued our training and socialization with other dogs and humans to reduce his reactivity (I think having another very social dog in the family helped to show him that other people and pets were okay). We are so grateful for your rescue for ensuring this sweet boy got his second chance.
