Stanlee turned five and, as always, we celebrated by giving him a dog-appropriate treat. This year, we let him lick the inside of the dog food bag. We have never seen a dog so happy! He is incredibly smart ~ he helps us with the recycling and he knows how to put his toys away into his toy box. He loves all his walks and learned to swim in our pool so he enjoys regular splashes in the summer. He is still over-enthusiastic in the car…even with a seatbelt it’s not very safe. We hired a trainer and she refers to Stanlee as a ‘loud talker with big feelings’ and that is so very accurate. He’s enjoying his life with unlimited stuffies to shred and we can’t remember life without him.
