Siris #3228

Gender: male

Status: Adopted

Osiris was the ancient Egyptian god of fertility, agriculture, the afterlife, resurrection, life, and death. An all-encompassing namesake for our Golden Rescue, Siris. Siris joined our family in October 2019. He arrived full of energy and love…even though he required hip surgery following a misadventure sustained overseas. Siris showed great spirit and recovered quickly from his femoral head ostectomy. Thank you, Golden Rescue, for your unwavering support over those first few months. It took some time for his hair to grow back but his dark golden red hair returned. If it was itchy, Siris never complained. Siris quickly resumed his typical golden duties, including chasing squirrels, chewing sticks, and being a snuggle monster. He loves snuggling by the fireplace, going for walks in the neighborhood, and trips to Lake Huron. Siris enjoys walks on the beach and running through the water. Oddly, he hasn’t yet developed an appreciation for swimming but is practicing with his lifejacket. Car rides are a fun excursion, especially when they involve trips to Tim Hortons for an old-fashioned Timbit or a visit to grandma’s house. From the first bark hello, Siris has brought us immeasurable joy and happiness. He is a goofball and we enjoy every minute with him. We are happy being Siris’ humans.
