We are happy to report that Dallas is doing well. We recently celebrated six years with her. Our family will all say, without a doubt, that Dallas (Dally as we affectionately call her) is the best thing to have happened to all of us. Even non-dog lovers love Dally. She has a gentle demeanour, loves to be cuddled (she thinks she’s a lap dog), joins in on yoga, and senses when someone isn’t well (either physically or emotionally) and comes to your side. She is a natural therapy dog with her calming presence. Dally loves her walks and has also been a driving force in our physical wellness. She loves the local trails but she especially loves water now. The first time she touched water, she ran right out seemingly not knowing what to do. She watched another dog playing and went in very slowly. She is a true Golden now…it’s hard to get her out of any water! She is close to being perfect but she does have a strong prey drive. She’s had her run-ins with a few skunks so she is now ALWAYS on leash on trail walks. It’s hard to remember life without her and we are beyond grateful to GR.
