Amanda is enjoying her new life by the water. She’ll be turning nine this month and while she still has some puppy energy, she is much calmer and has slowed down. Now that she has a swimming hole in the summer and a yard to play in, Amanda is enjoying being spoiled. She has her favourite toy, her moose, that she takes whenever she wants to play and grooms whenever she gets anxious. She has her own couch by the front window to watch the world go by and a window ledge at the back to watch animals running through the yard. She has a routine that we must stick to or else she will become very vocal and start ‘talking’ to us. She has come leaps and bounds since I adopted her six years ago and seeing her personality shine through all the work we did together has been so rewarding. I can’t imagine where I would be without her by my side.
