Britt Mauro
Britt Mauro, self-professed ‘crazy dog lady’ joined GR after her beloved Golden crossed the rainbow bridge. Britt wanted a much-needed diversion from her loss and decided that she wanted to give back by helping Goldens in need. In 2023, Britt started doing whatever she could to help. She has done transports, helped sell Wishbone Lottery tickets, participated with the International Rescue Mission of Love, and donated for events such as the picnic and Coats for Cairo. She and her partner, Katie Love, have fostered seven Goldens and three puppies, some with medical needs, and have been a joy to work with. Britt is now an invaluable member of the placement team, a role, as it turns out, she is perfectly suited for. Britt shares her life with Findlay #4541 and Penny#4729, who are grateful to Britt and Katie for giving them their much-needed second chance.
