Jake #1945

Gender: male

Status: adopted

We were thrilled to learn Jake (lighter coat) would be joining our family as a younger brother to Murphy. That was in November 2013 and we can’t imagine life without our boys. He and Murphy are inseparable and love to wrestle, explore, sleep and play fetch together (though Jake still hasn’t quite mastered the “retrieve” part of that game, much to Murphy’s chagrin). Jake is your typical happy-go-lucky Golden who generously kisses everyone he meets. He’s all about the cuddles and his favourite pastime is snuggling on the couch, head in your lap dreaming away. He loves swimming both in the pool and at the family cottage and this summer along with Murphy, added canoeing and boating to his resume. A true water baby, you’ll find this avid “fisherman” walking along the cottage shoreline for hours following minnows and when back at home, happily sitting on the steps of the pool, ball in mouth in between swims. Believe it or not, he also loves to be vacuumed and sits patiently, tail wagging with a big Golden grin, waiting for his turn.

We are so very grateful to Golden Rescue, the many volunteers and especially his wonderful foster mom for bringing Jake into our life.
