Roadie found his forever family when he was 18 months old. Our family had just lost our Golden Rex and when we thought no other dog could fill the void, we metRoadie, who filled our hearts. He came with the name Dex but in no time his name was changed to Roadie as he became a valuable employee in our music store, greeting musicians and music students every day by wagging his big, beautiful, bushy tail. He also became well known at our family cottage,mastering canoeing, windsurfing, and sailing. The whole lake knows Roadie and they love to watch him pass by in his canoe, but they particularly love to see him atop his windsurf board with his dad confidently surfing along.Once while sailing, the wind died down and the boat was stranded. Roadie and his dad jumped into the water and they swam side-by-side to shore and got the windsurf board and Roadie grabbed a line on the sailboat and between them, they got everyone safely to shore.Yes Roadie is a rock star! He’s also a blond beach boy surfing dude.
