Adoption Alert ~ Penny #2694 - Adoption Pending
“Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
Here beneath the blue suburban skies”
Oh…hello there, you caught me singing my favourite song. Now I know you humans think us canines can’t sing ~ au contraire! We are very good singers. Wolves started singing when they first saw the moon and we’ve been perfecting the art ever since. So, move over Adele, you’ve got some serious competition! Speaking of serious, let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Penny and I’m five years old. When I first came to Golden Rescue, I was a mess I’m ashamed to say. I was very nervous, smelly with open sores all around my ears, and I had little to no training. My amazing foster mom and dad got me cleaned up, made me feel safe right away, and started showing me the ropes. What an eye opener it was for me. Now I’m not saying I’m perfect but I’ve learned a lot of my commands. I understand what ‘no’ means. I’m starting to get the hang of the leash and I am kind of house trained but, unfortunately, I still have the odd accident. I’m not boasting but here’s what I heard my foster parents say about me the other day: ”Penny is a calm, trusting, sweet, kind, lovely girl“. Now I’m no expert on your language, but I’m pretty sure those are all good things. I feel so blessed to have found all the kind people of Golden Rescue. I had no idea life could be so grand! A few other things to mention…I don’t bark much, loud noises don’t bother me, and I’m gentle with my treats. I don’t like being left alone and I fuss at first but then I settle down as I realize you need to do some stuff without me. I could lose quite a few pounds so I’m on a diet at the moment. My ears are still being treated and I need stuff for another few weeks and then I should be as right as rain. I looooove people, children, other dogs, and even cats are cool with me ~ basically I love everybody and everything. I particularly love the great outdoors and running around like crazy in the backyard. I also love the car and sometimes they’ll even put the radio on for me….
Penny Lane the barber shaves another customer
And the banker’s sitting waiting for a trim
And the fireman rushes in, in the pouring rain
Eat your heart out Adele! (teehee)
