Adoption Alert ~ Murphy #2724 - ADOPTED!!
Hi everyone…my name is Murphy and I’m a 2.5-year-old girl. I was found by the good people at Golden Rescue and I will be forever grateful. When they found me was terribly underweight, filthy, and smelly with bad ear infections. I was also timid and afraid. They put me with this amazing foster family who bathed me, groomed me, fed me, and, most importantly, loved me. They were so patient with me as I was very afraid. Every day was a new experience and over time I came to believe I was safe and loved. Look at me now! I have put on weight. My coat shines and I am getting more confident every day. Because of all the help I was given, I now love people. In new situations I might still get a little nervous but I’m learning quickly that most people I meet are as kind as my foster family. I love other dogs and have been described as your classic pack Golden ~ happy, comfortable, and playful with all other dogs unless there is an aggressive one around. But hey, nobody likes aggressive behaviour, right? I am also totally fine with cats ~ I basically just ignore them. I know my basic commands and I’m not too bad on the leash. I don’t pull…I just wander from side to side as I want to investigate every new smell along the way. I am definitely a ‘morning girl’. I just leap into action as I’m now loving every new day with fervor. I hardly ever bark and loud noises don’t bother me; however, I don’t like being left alone. I am starting to understand that you can’t be around all the time but I still suffer from a thing called ‘separation anxiety’. I am okay in my crate but I still need to learn that being left alone is not a bad thing and that my family will come back. My foster mom believes that once I am totally comfortable with my forever family this problem will get better. I think she’s right. I have been through so much and I know I still have a lot to learn and this is one of them. Other than that, my foster mom has described me as gentle, pretty, petite, smart, loyal, and a real sweetheart. Wow!!! I sure try to be good but I didn’t think I was that good. Thank you everyone for rescuing me and giving me a second chance.
