Adoption Alert ~ Gustave #2699 - Adoption in Progress

Bonjour mes amis!  Je m’appelle Gustave and I am seven years old.  The good folks at Golden Rescue rescued me from a kill shelter in Quebec and have been so kind to me ever since.  My amazing foster family have been showing me the ropes and I’m getting the hang of things a little better every day.  Yes, people have been very kind and generous to me so I love and trust every person I meet.  People are my absolute favourite!  Now, I can get very boisterous around little children so I shouldn’t have too much exposure to them for now and I should probably stay away from cats too.  When I’m on the leash, I am great with other dogs.  When I’m off the leash, however, I can be aggressive ~ I must have had a bad experience in my past (I think it has to do with something called ‘resource guarding’…but I have no idea what that means LOL).   I heard my foster dad tell a friend I was friendly, affectionate, quiet, and playful.  A huge compliment, right?  I hardly ever bark and loud noises don’t bother me.  I love my walks, cuddling, and I especially love my ball.  And the doc says I’m healthy!  Well, that’s about it for me.  Let me recap.  I was rescued from a shelter, am extremely grateful, and love every grown-up I meet. If there is a home out there with no other dogs, cats, and no small children that would be best for me.  I sure don’t want to be a bother and I certainly don’t want to be picky but best I tell you everything about me I can, n’est pas?
