Adoption Alert ~ Gus #2614 - Adoption in Progress
Hi everyone my name is Gus and I’m two years old. My wonderful foster family describe me as a very sweet boy with a handsome face and a good heart. I think the world of them too ~ they have been so kind to me. When I first arrived at their home, I didn’t know what was happening. Everything was so strange and I didn’t know what I was doing there. But pretty soon I realized they were now looking after me. I didn’t know why I was with them but I sure knew they loved me and wanted the best for me. My life before this was good but somehow or other I missed my schooling. So now I am a big two-year-old pup full of happiness, joy, and energy. I love people and other dogs but haven’t learned all the proper things about meeting and greeting. I still jump up when I get excited because I think everyone wants to play with me. In other words, no one taught me life’s rules. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t have an aggressive bone in my body. I’m just a big puppy with a big heart and a big appetite for life. So the first thing I need to do, if you choose me, is to go to school. I need to learn all that stuff I missed. I’m told I’m smart so it shouldn’t take too long but you would have to be patient with me. The other thing is I don’t like is going in the car (I think it reminds me of leaving). I’m resistant getting in the car but once I’m in it I’m totally fine ~ weird, eh? Loud noises don’t bother me and I’m not a big barker. I can be left alone if you have to go out but I still chew things so I might better in the crate when you’re away. I love my walks and runs and my toys. I know I have a lot to learn but I am getting the hang of the leash thing and a few other commands so I’ve already started my schooling but I’m a ways from graduating. Could you help me get to graduation day? If you do, I promise you all my love, loyalty, and of course, all my goofiness.
