Adoption Alert ~ Ginger #2561 - Adopted!!

Hello…my name is Ginger and I’m 18 months old.  When I first met my amazing foster family I was very nervous.  I was afraid to come into their house.  I wasn’t house trained.  I had never seen stairs before so didn’t know how to use them.  I didn’t know my name and I didn’t even know how to eat and drink out of a bowl.  I missed puppy training entirely but now???  I am SO happy.  Everyone has been so good to me and I feel safe and loved.  I am house trained.  I know my name.  I eat out of bowls.  I know how to go up and down stairs…all that stuff.  I am still learning of course as I’m still very much a pup but all is now well in my amazing puppy world.  I love people, other dogs, and children and after a huge learning curve, I am now being described as “absolutely adorable ~ a darn cute puppy with a beautiful temperament”.  Wow!!!  I would bark that from the rooftops except that I’m not a big barker.  Loud noises don’t bother me and I can be left alone for a few hours if you need to go out.  Mind you, you might want to hide the pillows and bathroom mats as I sometimes mistake them for toys when I’m on my own.  I love car rides, walkies, running, playing, and cuddling.  Aw shucks, I just love my life!  However, there is one important thing I have to tell you.  I have a thing called hip dysplasia.  I am on special food and I need to watch my weight.  I have to get a special injection every month.  I am so sorry about the inconvenience and the expense.  The doc hopes that this regime will really help and I won’t have to have an operation.  Fingers and paws crossed.  Well, that’s my story.  I would just like to thank everyone for being so patient and kind to me.  I am so grateful to be given this second chance and if you choose me to be part of your family, I will pay you back with, as Donny Osmond says, “Puppy Love”!
